In 2021, Ballater Royal Deeside partnered with the Cairngorms National Park Authority to upgrade the signage of a number of the most popular walks around Ballater and to create the walking information ‘hub’ in Station Square. The project was led by Ken Gibson and 13 finger posts, 45 waymarking posts and 300 waymarking discs later, walks such as the Seven Bridges Walk and the Craigendarroch Circular Walk are clearly signposted and marked for the enjoyment of all.   The information hub in Station Square was erected in 2022 providing an overview of the walks.
