Cambus O’ May Bridge

The Cambus O’May Suspension Bridge was severely damaged during Storm Frank in 2015 and remained closed for four years as there was not enough funding available to repair it. Rather than see the bridge continue to deteriorate, Ballater Royal Deeside decided to work to make up the shortfall in funds required by the Council to restore the bridge to its former glory. Through a combination of donations and fund raising initiatives, we did it. The works started in 2020 and the bridge was finally re-opened by King Charles in August 2021.
